About the Project
A building that naturally blends into the existing neighborhoods while refreshing their visual character.
The project is located in the heart of the old Shikun Hamizrah neighborhood, which is undergoing a renewal process. The building stands on two existing lots, containing two existing buildings. The proposal unites the two lots into a single one, with one 10-story building, including 34 housing units, and three underground parking cellars.
The mass of the building is disintegrated into vertical and horizontal elements, so that it “corresponds” with the existing neighborhood’s scale. It combines warm materials such as natural stone and plaster with modern elements – aluminum and glass.
